CLEAH; THE LOST FURY CHRONICLES OF THE OTHERWORLD BY BRENDA MCCREIGHT

Cleah; The Lost Fury Chronicles Of The Otherworld by Brenda McCreight is set in Eire, it is primarily about a young girl called Cleah who begins the story as a slave. Her life is turned upside down when the home she is a slave in is taken by raiders. She ends up stumbling into the Otherworld.
The Otherworld as the name suggests is another world totally different to our own as it contains fairies, trolls and many other creatures and dangers. To survive in this strange Otherworld, Cleah needs to leave the submissiveness she has had to learn as a slave, become brave and learn to fight. Cleah is not alone on her journey as her Masters son (Ronan) is with her. He initially begins the journey an arrogant young man who thinks everything should be provided for him by the world whilst he needs give nothing back in return. The story covers the both Cleah and Ronans maturing and "growing up" through their travels. Ronan becomes a more caring young man and Cleah discovers a rather surprising fact about her birth origins and who she really is.

This book is well written and flows along keeping you interested all the way through. The people and places and surroundings are so well described, you can picture them in your mind. The book does contain the odd unnecessary word and typing error but it does nothing to spoil the book.

The book ends in such a way as to suggest that there will be a second book , I certainly hope so! This book is available from Amazon.co.uk for £2.14 and is well worth the money.
