About me?

It feels a bit weird updating this page, I kind of want to shout I’m baaaack! But I never really went anywhere I still added posts to my blog, though not on the scale I used to. I still live in the UK and started blogging back in Aug 2011! I am a still a  full-time home carer, which I became in 2009 when I was made redundant and due to my health conditions and caring for my mum, the job centre told me my job pro I have always loved books & reading! I originally did lots of different posts on my blog, then more recently I just added my reviews to it. I will as I have been, be continuing to add all my reviews to my blog, Amazon UK, Goodreads & Bookbub.

More recently I have also been taking part in Blog Tour's with Xpresso Tours, Silver Dagger Tours, InkslingerPR & some publishers directly and I am  signing up to do more and regular Cover Reveal, Book Blitz, Blog Tours & Giveaway posts again.

What has been happening lately?

So now it’s just mainly me reading and reviewing for my blog, though my mum keeps saying she wants to get back into reading when her eyesight & health issues permit. My dad, who I cared for 24/7 with the help of my daughter had mixed dementia (Vascular & Alzheimer’s died in December 2018 so I am back to caring solely for my mum. I am also continuing to try to help my daughter get her Nail technician business busier. Annnd then there's the list of my daughters and my own health issues, EDS (thought to be type 3), Menieres Disease, Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, IBS, Migraines and Rhinitis, Allergies etc etc. There are still going to be times when I may not be able to 100% commit to specific timescales as I never know when a health issue, either my own, my daughters, or mum's will flare up.

Even though the genre of your book may be listed above it is not a "set in stone guarantee that I will read it". Let’s be honest here, not every book "grabs" you even if it is in a genre you usually read or really love. If your genre is not listed above please ask me to take a look at your book, but please do not be offended if I say no, I would rather be honest about what I will and will not read.

Also, just because I may not read and review your book, it doesn't mean we can't do a promotional spotlight (my followers may still like your books) and of course we could also do an Author Interview, Cover Reveal, Guest Post or Excerpt.

PLEASE, KEEP THE FOLLOWING THINGS IN MIND

If you have sent me an e-mail to request a review and I don't answer, it is not because I don't want to read and review your book. It could be that I am ill or "busy with other commitments"

I read as much and as fast as I can. If you need a special date just let me know and we can try to arrange it, though I admit I am trying to be more relaxed in scheduling my reading due to my health & family issues.

I cannot guarantee that I will write a review within a set time limit or even at all. I do occasionally have a "Did Not Finish", when that happens, I do still review what I read and explain the parts I did like as well as the explore the reasons why I couldn't finish the book. As yet being unable to write a review for a book I have read or classed as a DNF has never happened, but I need to add this point just in case it ever does occur. 

If I do DNF a book I always try to explain why I couldn't read it, or finish it.
