FROSTBITE BY RICHELLE MEAD

Frostbite by Richelle mead is book two in the Vampire Academy Series.

So lets get this straight before book two begins,Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose…... so lots of love in the air around the Vampire Academy!
Rose is feeling anything but festive, even though it's the winter break. There was a massive Strigoi attack and it has definitely put the school on high alert. So the Academy's crawling with Guardians. Janine Hathaway , Rose's hard-hitting mother, is amongst the guardians now at the school. Rose has many problems at the moment, hand-to-hand combat with her mom is bad enough, but now it seems like Rose's tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else. Oh yes and Rose's friend Mason has got a huge crush on her. Another pressing problem is the fact that Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa's head while she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian! But even bigger problems are on the horizon as the Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy's not taking any risks…... This year the St. Vlad's annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.
Although the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism hardly ever comes without a price….......
Lots happening in this book, the continuing budding romance with Lissa and Christian. It has quite funny consequences that Rose can feel in her own head what Lissa is thinking, it makes for some rather awkward moments between Rose, Lissa and Christian. The mysterious but sizzling hot Dimitri is still teaching at the Academy. One of the changes is that we are actually introduced to Janine Hathoway, Rose's mother. it is good to learn more about their relationship and more about Janine's character. Bring on book three!
