Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl  is book one of the Caster Chronicles.
Lena Duchannes is different to anyone the small town of Gatlin has ever seen. Lena is struggling to contain her powers and a curse that has haunted generations of her family.Even within the overgrown gardens and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden for long. Ethan has been counting down the months until he can escape Gatlin. Ethan is hanted by a beautiful girl in his dreams, a girl he has never even met. Lena moves into the towns oldest and most infamous plantation. Ethan finds himself drawn to Lena in a way he cannot explain and he is determined to uncover what it is that connects them.
In a town that has no surprises, one secret could change everything.
I was first attracted to this book by its beautiful cover, and then I read the blurb and felt I had to buy the book to see how Lena and Ethan were connected. i began reading and was hooked from the begginning. I was disappointed every time I had to put the book down to do something else. There is romance both present day and historical in the book. The prophetic song Ethan keeps hearing is also memorable and keeps you intrgued as to what it all means. Upon finishing this book I went straight onto book two as I wasn't ready to leave Ethan and Lena behind yet!

Available at, £4.90 £4.89 £4.89
