What is your name, where were you born and where do you live now? Kathleen Welton. I was born in Santa Monica, California and currently live in Chicago, Illinois.

What is the name of your latest book, and if you had to summarise it in less than 20 words what would you say?
The Little Book of Gratitude Quotes is an uplifting collection of 365 quotes that encourages kindness, thankfulness, and wisdom.

Do you have plans for a new book? Is this book part of a series?
Yes, The Little Book of Humorous Quotes has just been published (edited by Malcolm Kushner) and The Little Book of Success Quotes will be published in 2012.
The series is The Little Quote Books.

How long have you been writing?, and who or what inspired you to write?
I was very lucky. My mother was a kindergarten teacher and there were always lots of books in the house…Jane Walsh Anglung etc. I have been in publishing for over 30 years.

How do you come up with the Title and Cover Designs for your book/books?
My cat is named Little Caesar—he was a gift from a friend—that is how I came up with the title of the quote books series.

Is there a certain Author that influenced you in writing? Emily Dickinson. She is the greatest in both poems and letters.

What piece of advice would you give to a new writer?
Be passionate about connecting with your audience. Learn all that can about marketing and hire help in this area or decide to do it yourself.

Where can readers follow you?

Thank you so much for taking the time out from your schedule to take part in this interview.
