I love the wolf eyes, suggesting, mystery, danger and of course were-wolves or shifters. There's also the raven on the cover to tie in with the title of the series "Soaring Raven" of course. As you will know I also love a book byline to be on the cover, it's an extra clue as to what the book is about, and piques your interest in the book even more. The byline on this cover is "She knows too much, with no way out....." Hmmm immediately makes you think who knows too much? and can she escape? and if so how? ..... So yeah I reckon the byline of this cover definitely does it's job. Also on the cover is the microphone which suggests someone in the book is some sort of performer.
Would it pass my "shelf test"? (the would it stand out enough on a bookstore shelf for me to pick  it up and read the blurb), Yes, the wolven eyes caught my eye almost immediately.
Now onto the blurb, So the "She" of the "She knows too much ..." is called Infinity. The blurb also does it's job well in adding some details to what we have gathered from the cover analysis. The blurb goes on to tell us Infinity is a singer, who is in danger as she has two body guards already. So this makes you wonder what does she know?
I will re-iterate even though it is mentioned twice this book has an 18+ suggested audience as there is adult content.
So to sum up the question I always ask myself is Just by looking at the cover would I want to read the book? Honestly possibly not.... Next question: Is the cover attractive enough for me to pick it up from a shelf to learn more? Yes, as I said earlier in this post the wolf eyes have me. I would definitely pick this one up from a shelf to learn more. Final question: Upon reading the blurb would I want to read the book? Hmmm, maybe is the honest answer.
