Divergent by Veronica Roth is about Tris (Beatrice Prior) who now sixteen is at the stage in her life when she must choose which of the five factions she wishes to live in. Each individual faction represents a virtue, Candor, Abnegation, Dauntless, Amity, and Erudite. Tris was born into the Abnegation faction but now at sixteen can change to whichever faction she wishes to. After much soul searching she chooses ......... No Spoilers here as do not wish to spoil the enjoyment of the book!

This book is brilliant! one of the best I have read in ages. It  kept me engrossed all the way through. I know there is disagreement between some readers as to is this should be classed as Fantasy rather than Dystopian but either classification , its still a really good book to read....a MUST read. It is so well written , description in it is just enough,not too much. The whole concept of the factions is really great too. I loved finding out which factions the older characters had been originally born into.
