Becoming a vampire guardian was Dawn Fairchild’s ticket out of the Scarlet House. Fresh off a successful mission, life in Angel Creek should have been great. But when her sort-of-maybe-boyfriend, Sebastian, disappears on a quest to help a beautiful vampire from his past, Dawn finds herself amidst a web of danger, lies, and deceit.

Joining forces with Razor, an enigmatic rebel lacking both a verbal and a physical filter, and her band of Misfits—Brooke, Sophie, Hunter, and Seth—Dawn is thrust into a race against the clock to solve the mystery surrounding brutal Born kidnappings and come to terms with the sudden discovery of her own unique powers. With time ticking away and Born vampires’ lives in jeopardy, it quickly becomes evident that someone—or something—desperately wants Dawn and is willing to shed any amount of blood to get her.

Dawn has only one chance to face her demons and overcome all obstacles standing in her way as she embarks on the biggest mission of her life—one that threatens a deadly outcome for all involved.

MY REVIEW
I received an e-copy o this book from Girls Heart Books Blog Tours in exchange for my honest review. I really like the cover, its fits so well with Bk#1 that it really makes a "brand image" for the series. I really like the titel and author name fonts and their placements. They are perfect and enhance rather than obstruct anything on the cover as is the case with some covers I've seen lately.
I really wanted to read this one as I had read and enjoyed Bk#1 in the Angel Creek Series ReVamped. It's not long until dawn and her great bunch of friends/fellow guardians are mixed up in danger, drama and action. A phrase that comes to mind for how to describe how I felt was "like slipping on a comfy pair of slippers! which is a really really good thing. I knew the characters and already loved them, new characters were introduced who I learned to love quickly too. It was such an easy well paced book to read, I really enjoyed. Sometimes when reviewing books you come across one thats a bit of a chore to read, this was definitely not the case with this book. I totally relaxed in with the book and throughly enjoyed it.
I'm trying sooo hard not to say much about the actual book, I don't want to spoil your voyage of discovery with the book.
There's still lots of possible love interests for Dawn. There's plenty of friction and humorous scenes in the book between Dawn, Razor and Sebastian.
I loved catching up with all the other guys too, Brooke and Sophie's attempts to make Dawn more girly are great. Then there's the more "brooding" quietness of the guys Hunter and Seth.
Then there's the ending, I was so holding my breath, on the edge of my seat, almost screaming "oh no" aloud as I read it. I know this probably won't make sense to you much until you've read the book but oh wow! Ada Adams how could you!
So did I enjoy the book? Yes, a really relaxing enjoyable read. Would I recommend the book? Yes in fact I'd recommend the whole series. I think it would also be great for those who want to start reading the paranormal genre as it's not too heavy. Would I read a Bk#3? Definitely, the ending to Bk#2 is such a cliff hanger and wow ending I want, no need to know more! And finally Would I read other books by Ada Adams? I would always check out other titles by Ada as I love her style of writing she makes it so easy and pleasurable to read her books! Thank you Ada!
