BLURB from Goodreads
Waverly and Kieran are finally reunited on the Empyrean. Kieran has led the boys safely up to this point, and now that the girls are back, their mission seems slightly less impossible: to chase down the New Horizon, and save their parents from the enemy ship. But nothing is truly as it seems…Kieran’s leadership methods have raised Seth’s hackles— and Waverly’s suspicions. Is this really her fiancé? The handsome, loving boy she was torn from just a short time before? More and more, she finds her thoughts aligned with Seth’s. But if Seth is Kieran’s Enemy No. 1, what does that make her?

In one night, a strange explosion rocks the Empyrean—shooting them off course and delaying their pursuit of the New Horizon—and Seth is mysteriously released from the brig. Seth is the most obvious suspect for the explosion, and Waverly the most obvious suspect for releasing him. As the tension reaches a boiling point, will Seth be able to find the true culprit before Kieran locks them both away—or worse? Will Waverly follow her heart, even if it puts lives at risk? With the balance of power precarious and the clock ticking, every decision counts… every step brings them closer to a new beginning, or a sudden end..

MY REVIEW
I was kindly sent this book by St Martins Griffin in exchange for my own honest review and opinion. Only disappointment I had was that a business card had been stapled to the front cover! *shock, horror*
This is the second book in the Sky Chasers series by the lovely, very friendly author Amy Kathleen Ryan. A Special Thankyou to Amy for sorting out a copy of the book for us to review.
I like the cover, to me it depicts a scene at the very end of the book with Waverly and Seth running through the ship. I like the muted colours of the book too.
So I loved Glow but the ending left many many questions to be answered. The questions were answered and I loved that this book jumped straight back into the action. It totally picked up where glow had left off. It has plenty of action, traumas and disagreements in this book too. As well as the lurking figure of Anne Mather. There's also a terrorist on board the ship who probably stowed away on the ship that brought Waverly and the girls back form the New Horizon. Is the terrorist a lone figure wanting personal revenge or is he working for the ever scheming Anne Mather?
As you will see from the blurb from Goodreads the whole love triangle situation between Kieran, Waverly and Seth is still bubbling under the surface. You learn more about more of the kids on board the ship in this book which is really good, we see more of Sarek and Arthur as they support Kieran, and their roles as the leadership and roles on the ship are changed. Waverly leads a demand for an election Kieran has to give in, and submit to an election. Will Kieran win, or has his leadership alienated too many of the other kids during his term as leader? If there is a new "government" or "council" new people will need to be, chosen/ elected and appointed. New duties will have to be given out and perhaps the younger children will need to become more involved with the duties involved in keeping the ship running. As if the ship dies so do all the children on board.
Waverly has also changed a lot since her "visit" to the New Horizon, most of the older girls that returned with her have also changed, and become cynical. Who can blame them after what they endured on the New Horizon. Waverly and Kieran's relationship seems to deteriorate  more and more. eventually one of them has to give some ground. will waverly get her election, and her central government? I so do not want to give too much away as this book is brilliant and definitely a must read! This book ends and leaves you with as many questions about what will happen as book one Glow did as it ended. It certainly leaves you really eager for book three in the Sky Chasers Series. I can't wait to read it!!
So did I enjoy it? Oh Yesssss! Would I recommend it? Already nagging daughter to read it so we can discuss it!  Would I read more by Amy Kathleen Ryan? Yesss!
