Prepare to be blown away! Shocking True Teen Stories collects some of the most amazing and unbelievable reader stories ever printed in the pages of Seventeen magazine. One girl, for instance, reveals how she lost both her best friends to drug overdoses. A shoplifter confesses that she couldn't stop stealing, while another reader shares how she was secretly homeless for years. In all, twelve brave teens share the gritty details in their own words, so you can learn from their experiences.
MY REVIEW
I think the cover represents the stories within the book well. The shocking pink colour definitely draws your eye to the cover.
This book consists of twelve short "shocking teen stories" that are true. Subjects range from the typical "mean girls" that have got way out of hand and seem to think they can run a school because one of their mums is the Principal! To a teen who survived a cyclone, a situation that was a realistic version of the wizard of Oz where her house was literally lifted from the ground.
All the stories are quite shocking in there own way, though I have to admit that one or more could have been prevented with a little more common sense on the part of the teenager in question. The stories are written as small magazine type articles so very easy to read. These stories may have appeared in Seventeen magazine previously. (In case you are contemplating buying and are an avid reader of Seventeen be warned you my have already read some of these stories).
So did I enjoy it? It was okay yes. Would I recommend it? s a "magazine" type thing to read with a cuppa! Would I read more? Probably yes.
I do have to add I would only pay up to a maximum of £2 for this type of read.

Interesting. I've never seen a format like this--articles of similar content put into a book. Thanks for the review! :D
