Haunting Violet by Alyxandra Harvey.
Violet Willoughby doesn't believe in ghosts, even though her mother claims to be a medium and holds regular seances. The problem with this is that Violet is the real medium and the ghosts know it too. Violet has to keep her ability secret. Violet has managed to ignore her "gift" for some time, but, now there is a rather persistent ghost on her case. This ghost was murdered and wants Violet to get even with the person who killed her. Whilst all this is going on Violets mother is trying to marry of her daughter.
I really enjoyed this book, it was fairly fast paced in that, I felt like I flew through it. There was always something going on in the book. It is quite funny that Violet's mother pretends to be a medium and has no connections to those that have passed on , yet Violet who is right under her nose can see the ghosts and communicate with them so easily. This book has friendship, love, and is a different subject to the usual type of paranormal type book. Totally loved the cover too!
