Jack Gordon is Ann Arbor's most delectable bachelor. At age thirty-five, he's made millions as a top-selling Ann Arbor real estate broker and has the right connections to close a deal by any means necessary. With his rugged good looks and compelling personality, he has a virtual black book most men would kill for and he uses it often, never settling for one woman for very long.
While his D/s past remains buried, exactly where he wants it, an undercurrent of boredom and dissatisfaction runs through his life now. A disastrous experience years earlier made him swear off the whole scene, but the more Jack suppresses his natural Dom, the more his frustration grows.
Sara Thornton, a rookie in the real estate game, has fast-tracked herself to the top of the Ann Arbor market. Her life reflects a disciplined and focused routine, exactly the way she wants it. However, as her career takes off, the fulfillment she seeks remains inexplicably out of reach. The one thing she knows for sure, she will not join the Jack Gordon groupies in her company, no matter how tempting that might seem.
A chance encounter, then a difficult transaction, throw Jack and Sara together and the sparks fly high and hot and often. Forced to confront the compulsions that gain momentum with each sizzling encounter, their relationship seems to spiral out of control until Jack finally admits what he needs, and shows Sara what she's been missing.

Jack Gordon thought he’d finally made it. He had a wildly successful career, money in the bank and had returned to his life as Dom, putting an end to a string of unfulfilling sexual encounters. Now that he’s made the ultimate commitment to Sara Thornton, he believes all is right in the world. But a series of misunderstandings and a dose of self-fulfilling prophesy bring his perfectly crafted house of cards tumbling down around him, forcing him to confront lingering misgivings about marriage and trust. Could those be the only two things he can never achieve?
Sara struggles with her intense need for Jack and her desire for less volatility in her busy life, which appear to be mutually exclusive goals. Although willing to put in the time and emotional effort to make their relationship work, she finds it futile and frustrating, littered with clashes thanks to near-identical personalities and temperaments. Given Sara’s history, easing back into the comfortable status quo becomes easier than fighting a war with the one person who should be her safe haven. But will the easier choice satisfy her the way only Jack can? Is her “war” one that comes from without or within?
Buffeted by circumstance, temptation and distraction, Jack and Sara’s tenuous relationship crumbles, sparking a continuous quest for the ever-elusive: trust, love and acceptance. By the time they rebuild a foundation for renewal, fate has other plans. Which leaves them both reeling, once again questioning their destiny.

Love conquers all? Not likely, according to Sara Thornton. She’s spent eight years coming to terms with the new parameters of her life while resigning herself to the idea that “happily ever afters” are best left to fairytales. Sales manager for her successful real estate office and juggling an added element of responsibility she never thought she’d face, Sara continues to struggle with the men in her life. Love, for her, has only meant hurt, broken trust and anger; all of which she’s completely banished from her life, so she claims.
Jack Gordon has come a long way since his earlier days of obsession with Sara. As general manager of Stewart Realty, his own level of responsibility for others’ well-being has ramped up. He’s even honed his caretaking skills, now that he has someone who loves him unconditionally.
Continuing to try and rebuild their relationship, they grow close as friends. But, the ultimate question remains unanswered; the one he keeps asking, no matter how many times she says no. Sara isn’t prepared for the keen focus of his need–to have her back, once and for all. And her stubborn resistance nearly rips both lives apart
The epic conclusion to The Realtors series, Closing Costs brings Jack and Sara truly full circle. Proving that the heat of lust and obsession; the need for control and to be mastered in many areas of life can lead to love —surprising you when you least expect it – if you will only allow it.

After a fatal hit and run accident, Ella Monroe fears that she’s lost more than her beloved parents. Horrifying visions of a past life and a disturbing voice in her head have psychiatric professionals convinced that she’s lost her sanity as well. But when Kale--a dark and handsome stranger with a mysterious past--reveals the true meaning of her visions and the tremendous power she wields through them, Ella must come to terms with the devastating truths of her own past, while eluding an ancient Dark Prince who seeks to control not only her future, but all of mankind’s, by means of abilities that Ella is only beginning to understand.
Enter the shrouded world of an age old battle between an ancient race known as the Immortals and their bitter enemy Laurent, the so-called Dark Prince, who commands an army of half-breed vampires known as ChorĂ½. Both sides have been desperately searching for the prophesied emergence of the Arc, a clairvoyant with unparalleled power to recall the past and a soothsayer with clear vision into the future.
The Council of Immortals has sworn to protect the Arc, whom they have identified as young Ella Monroe, a college freshman from Virginia living quietly and unaware of her powers or her past. But a renegade ChorĂ½ has other plans for the protection of a girl he has loved through the ages. Can Kale convince Ella of who she is, what she is destined to become, and what he once meant to her? Is he truly the best protector to shield the world from the devastating misuse of her powers that Laurent is bent on controlling? Or will the forbidden love they share and Kale’s cursed condition as a wretched and hated ChorĂ½ be used against them both?
This paranormal romance told from the heroine’s perspective builds in intensity and intrigue to a finale you won’t see coming. Heart pounding action mixed with heartwarming friendships and heartbreaking romance will leave you breathless and begging for more.

GUEST POST - THE CHARACTERS IN THE CHEMISTRY OF FATE BY MERADETH HOUSTON
The Characters in The Chemistry of Fate
Thanks so much for hosting me! I thought
I’d introduce everyone to the main characters in my second novel, The Chemistry
of Fate. Tom, Ari, Oliver, and Ezekiel play some of the central roles and I
thought it might be interesting to let them tell you a little about themselves.
I’m going to ask them to tell us all three
interesting things about themselves J.
Tom: “Wait, this isn’t a test, is it? I hate these kinds of things.
Three things…. Okay, first off, I’m a genetics major at the University of
Montana where I’m a freshman. Two, I have two pet mice, left over from a class
in high school. I did not name them, but they’re Gumby and Pokey. My lab
partner thought that was funny. I didn’t. And, one more? Right. I want to get
an A in my chemistry class this semester. It’s a good thing Ari’s studying with
me or I’d flunk.”
Ari: “So, you want me to be honest? Like, honest, honest?” Looks around
nervously, and after a hushed conversation, sighs and shrugs. “That’s cool. I
can tell the truth. I guess. I mean, I don’t normally because that gets me, and
everyone else, into all kinds of trouble. I think I’m a little nervous. I kind
of tend to ramble when I get nervous. So, okay, three things. One, I’m a Sary.
That’s kind of complicated, but I’m basically like a guardian angel kind of
thing. Except I’m not an angel. At all. I just try to keep people from
committing suicide most of the time. Then sometimes I try to make sure people
don’t know about the Sary. Oh, and I have wings. They’re cool. I mean, I like
flying. A lot. Wait, is that three things already? I’m pretty sure it is, so
I’m just going to stop now.”
Oliver: “Three things? Are you sure just three? I could probably come up
with a few more for a pretty lady! … I’m kidding. Really. Swear. See, I can
totally do this. First thing about me is that I work in a lab as the manager
and run the place mostly. That’s how I know Tom. I know he thinks I’m some kind
of lab-god and he’d be kind of right. Second thing: I’m currently single and available, if anyone’s wondering. Third thing: I’m the
running karaoke champion in the city. I even have a trophy. If you ever want to
hear me sing, all you have to do is ask!”
Ezekiel: “I do not want to participate in this. Thank you for the offer,
but I am not in the least bit interested.” Minor shouting as he’s coerced
talked into playing along. “Fine. If I must, three things: I’m a Sary. I fully
believe there should be punishments for breaking Sary law. And mortals should
be far more appreciative of our work than they are.”
Well, there you have it, some of the main
players in The Chemistry of Fate!

“They are everywhere, can be anyone, and are always the last person you’d expect.” When Tom stumbles across his grandfather’s journal, he’s convinced the old man was crazier than he thought. The book contains references to beings called the Sary, immortals who are assigned to save humans on the verge of suicide. They certainly aren’t allowed to fall in love with mortals. Which the journal claims Tom’s grandfather did, resulting in his expulsion from the Sary. As strange as the journal seems, Tom can’t get the stories out of his head; especially when he finds the photo of his grandfather’s wings.
Tom’s only distraction is Ari, the girl he studies with for their chemistry class.
Ari has one goal when she arrives in town: see how much Tom knows about the Sary and neutralize the situation. This isn’t a normal job, but protecting the secrecy of the Sary is vital. If Tom is a threat to exposing the Sary to the public, fate has a way of taking care of the situation, usually ending with the mortal’s death. While Ari spends time with Tom, he becomes more than just an assignment, but how far can a relationship go when she can’t tell him who she really is? When she finds out just how much Tom actually knows about the Sary, Ari is forced to choose between her wings, and her heart.
THE CHEMISTRY OF FATE is a companion to COLORS LIKE MEMORIES and is set before the latter takes place.
MY REVIEW
I received an e-copy of this book direct from the author Meradeth Houston. As I had read Colors Like Memories, I wanted to read this one then. However, when I realised The Chemistry Of Fate was set prior to Colors Like Memories I was a little unsure if it would work for me or not.
So to the cover I like the magical feel of the cover and the colours of cover too. Upon reading the book you realise the "creature" on the cover is in fact Arianne in her Sary form, complete with those gorgeous translucent wings. I find the font of the title and author and their placements are pleasing enough too. the font is loopy or cursive, the way Tom writes, which also harks back to the book plot. the only thing I am unsure of is the snowflake images on the cover. Although they are nice enough and yes they fit in with the snow happening in the book, I don't believe they are 100% necesary.
So would the cover alone make me pick up the book? I think on cover alone, discounting the fact I've read part of the series, ...yes I would pick it up to read the blurb and learn more about the book.
So Arianne or Ari as she prefers to be called is on assignment. Her assignment is Tom. So why is Ari checking out what Tom knows about the Sary and if he is a danger to exposing them? Well Tom's grandfather wrote a journal and after he died Tom got some of his things and took the journal to read. The journal is written by Tom's grandfather, it talks all about the Sary. So how come Tom's grandfather survived with knowledge of the Sary? Well Tom's Grandfather . . . .. well you'll need to read the book to find out more about the journal in it.
The problem the Sary have with Tom is whether he believes what is written in his grandfathers journal or not. Then there's the whole problem of whether Tom has any other evidence and what he may or may not do about it.
So Ari is tasked to find out exactly whats going on and report back for the Island to decide how to progress, and what action to take.
Ari has to get close to Tom . . . . the only thing is she starts to like Tom, I mean really really like Tom. What is the Sary on The Island find out? Then Tom starts to become suspicious of who/what Ari is, which is even more worrying as if a Sary reveal his true self or her true self, and/or their wings, the price the Sary pays is the loss of those wings. The loss of the wings is the end of life as a Sary. For when a Sary loses their wings they become mortal.
This book is full of great information about the Sary, we meet more sary, and discover that there are "rogue Sary" who think it their job to become the deliverer of fate. So we learn some of the Sary politics in this book, perhaps setting the scene for more Sary politics in futures books too. There's also a little romance in this book too. So it has love, friendship, Sary controversy, action and a little mystery too.
So did I enjoy the book? Yes, I did enjoy it. Would I recommend this book? Yes, I'm hoping its part of a longer series, where perhaps we will learn much more about the Sary and The Island. Would I read more of this Series? Yes I think I would, though I would want to know more about the Sary, how they come about and how they live on the Island. Maybe there could be a Sary "war" about who should lead them after the certain things that happened in this book. Would I read more by Meradeth Houston? Yes, I would, I love her style of writing and the books though they have action and angst do also contain happiness too.

Title: Remember Me
Author: Amaleen Ison
Release Date: TBA
Publisher: Decadent Publishing
Editor: Lea Finley
Cover Artist: Scott Carpenter
Genre: Young Adult
Format: E-book
BLURB supplied by the author Amaleen Ison
Sera isn’t living. She’s existing—barely. Bedbound by illness, she has no memory of life before the freezing barn she now calls home. A mournful song haunts her dreams and hints at a past not completely buried—one she’s desperate to uncover. Yet Father’s whirlwind visits to draw blood and administer medication don’t provide answers. He only confirms the one thing she already knows; she’s dying.
A lonely death without ever knowing her past seems inevitable until a sudden, mystifying return to health coincides with the arrival of a boy in the opposite out-building. The inextricable pull to the stranger, and the broken memories that storm her mind when he’s near, warn of a history quite different to any she could have imagined. If she’s to uncover the truth she craves, she’ll have to decide whether knowledge of the past is worth forfeiting her second chance at life.

MY COVER COMMENTS
I feel really drawn to this cover, and I think if I saw it on a book store shelf I would be compelled to pick it up and learn more about it. I love the blues swirling around the girl on the cover as though she's either lost in a snow storm or perhaps lost at sea even. The publishers logo in the top left corner is discreetly placed and not intrusive to the cover. The font of the title, is glamorous, and elegant and has a "dreamy" quality to it. Where as the Author name is in what I would call a more business like font.
So would I pick it up from a bookshelf? Definitely!
I know this is supposed to be cover comments but I have to say that the blurb has me intrigued and has really made me want to add this one to my to read list!
At the moment there is no release date, but keep checking back as the Author has promised to let me know as soon as she has a release date for the book!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Amaleen Ison is a married mother of one. She lives with her family in Hertfordshire, England, along with her cats (Oscar and Winston), guinea pig ( LouLou), and gerbils (Blackberry and Pumpkinseed). She writes Young Adult fantasy stories that meander into a variety of sub-genres.
As a child, Amaleen lived most of her life in her head. She imagined herself in mystical lands populated by the weird and wonderful. She still spends way too much time daydreaming, but now she writes about her imaginings and weaves them into stories. The fantasy element is always important, but more so the hodgepodge of emotions that arise from her characters first time experiences.
