BLURB from Goodreads
It can happen in a flash. One minute
she’s kissing her boyfriend, the next she’s lost in the woods. Sixteen-year-old
Ellie Cox is losing time. It started out small…forgetting a drive home or a
conversation with a friend. But her blackouts are getting worse, more difficult
to disguise as forgetfulness. When Ellie goes missing for three days, waking up
in the apartment of a mysterious guy—a guy who is definitely not her boyfriend,
her life starts to spiral out of control.
Perched on the edge of insanity, with horrific
memories of her childhood leaking in, Ellie struggles to put together the
pieces of what she’s lost—starting
with the name haunting her, Gwen. Heartbreakingly beautiful, this
poignant story follows one girl’s harrowing journey to finding out who she
really is.
Well it's been ages and ages, due to my health not being so good and then other family issue's since I did a "Cover Comments" so thought it was about time to revive that tradition starting with this book cover!
MY COVER COMMENTS
So what can I say about this cover, where to start? It's certainly eye-catching and in my opinion quite emotive with the girl alone sort of hugging herself. You all know I love a good byline so I do like the "When I'm asleep I'm afraid someone else might take my place" it really starts you asking question of who would take the females place and why and how would they do it etc etc. I also like the title being down the centre of the book, it's really quite unusual, it certainly does the job of attracting your eyes to it. Then when you go onto the Blurb that too does its job well, drawing you in further wanting to know more about Ellie and wanting to discover who Gwen is. I think I may be adding this to my "Want To Read" List, Will you? What do you think to the cover? Does a cover really affect whether you would buy a book or aren't you bothered by the cover at all?
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
