Hereditary
The trouble with one-night stands: you never know who—or what—you’re sleeping with.
~~~
Being a parent isn’t an easy ride. Even more so for single mum Shelley Lewis.
When her thirteen year old son’s hormones kick in, she’s faced with his immense growth, insane sweat, and ridiculous hairiness, not to mention all the normal teenage issues.
Discovering her only son isn’t human on top of those is the shock of a lifetime, and Shelley knows she’s the only one to blame.
It may be too late to save her son from her mistakes, but she can still try to save Gabe from himself.
INITIAL THOUGHTS
As usual when I hear there's going to be a new Holloway Pack novel or novella it went straight onto my "want to read wishlist" and of course I am looking forward to reading it.
MY REVIEW
I downloaded this one FREE from Smashwords. The cover is very dark, and mysterious. I'd say the byline of "no calm before the storm" fits the main character in this novella, as what is happening to him arrives with very little warning and is a "storm" of emotions and changes. So would I be attracted enough to the cover to pick up book in a book store? Yes, I think I would want to check out the book because of the cover. I'd definitely be snatching  a copy from  the shelf once I realised it was a Holloway Pack novella.
So this novella begins by a woman having second thoughts about a one night stand she had with a gorgeous guy, As he left her with a "gift" as she was pregnant. She gave birth to a gorgeous blonde hair bouncing baby boy. As the boy grew, he was heavily into sports and a very boisterous, active child yet he was also a respectful to wards his mother and grandfather. All that changes a he becomes a moody quiet teen. This novella tells us all about how Gabriel's first "change" occurred and how he, his mother and Mia help him cope with it.
I dont want to go into more detail though I could rattle on about this novella so much as I do love J.A. Belfield's Holloway Pack Series.
So did I enjoy the novella? Yes I did. Would I recommend the novella? Yes, I would, and I'd say if you haven't tried the Holloway Pack yet, why not start here whilst this one is FREE! Would I want to read more of this series? Yes, please. Would I read other titles by this author? Yes.
