REVIEW
This book has a red cover that fits its Christmas theme well, it also features a green Christmas tree on it so you definitely know the book is Christmas related.
My review is based on the ebook version but the book has quite good illustrations which I bet look even better in a physical book. The book is set out in types of movie, each movie has its own individual quiz on it.

First of all, there is the movie information, movie title, year, the director, mentions some of the cast, and a brief description of the movie plot. Each movie is also rated for “Christmas Spirit” symbolised by Christmas Trees, “Warm fuzzier” symbolised by mittens and “Timelessness” symbolised by Christmas Lights. I really loved the ratings even though I really didn’t agree with some of them! The quiz is underneath all that information. The questions all have multiple choice answers which makes the quiz a little easier, and so making it suitable for all ages.

At times I did find the font style difficult to read, maybe that would be clearer if you had the physical book in front of you. Personally, I would prefer the quiz answers to have their own section at the back of the book. Though I guess that wouldn’t work as well in the ebook format.

There’s some total classics included in the back such as Wonderful Life which in my opinion didn’t have enough Christmas lights!! There were also some rather obscure movies as well as some included that maybe people wouldn’t immediately classify as a Christmas Movie. I mean if Die Hard and Edward Scissor Hands are included why not include Bridget Jones?
Some of the sections the movies were put in didn’t seem quite right either, I would have put National Lampoons under “Dysfunctional Family Christmas”
There were some great films were missing such as Nativity, Deck The Halls, and Last Christmas (Ghost/wham).

This book is a fun quiz book that is great for anyone that loves Christmas movies, young or old! The book is perfect for a movie themed quiz at Christmas be that at home with the family or down at the pub with your friends/family. I think this book is a great book for reminiscing about past Christmases, memories of when you watched the movies and who with. The quiz could be a kind of Advent tradition where you do the quiz, watch the movies on the lead up to Christmas. It’s certainly a brilliant conversation starter! I think the book would make a great stocking filler, or fun gift for Christmas.
